Creative Art as Therapy and Wellbeing - Aged Care
Creative Art as Therapy and Wellbeing - Aged Care
At Art and About we believe that irrespective of age or perceived ability, people should have the chance to engage in creative expression. It can play a significant role in improving mental health. In all age groups but particularly within the aging population experiencing art making can lessen anxiety, enhance feelings of wellbeing, result in stimulation, and relaxation.
Organisations such as Griffith University Nathan and Brigidine College Indooroopilly realise the benefits of a creative outlet and have joined the art as therapy and well-being program.
